The Spa and Sauna Company recently partnered with the local Make-A-Wish branch to donate a Hot Spring Spa to a 4-year-old girl named Hadlie.

“It’s going to add to her quality of life – getting to have a hot tub at home,” Hadlie’s mom Jesi said.

Hadlie has a nervous system disorder.

Since her favorite time of the day is when she’s in a bathtub, and she enjoys lights, her family and the Make-A-Wish team decided a hot tub would be the perfect Wish for her.

“It’s just going to be amazing for her. It’s gonna help her muscles…I think, for years, Hadlie will get to be with her favorite people, her family and closest friends in the hot tub,  which is good for her body and her muscles and she’s just going to make incredible memories, seeing the lights and the waterfall.”

Hot Tub Donation Day

More than 20 people attended on hot tub donation day to make Hadlie’s Wish come true, including team members from:

Big sister Sawyer made cupcakes and wore a tutu for the occasion.

The Make-A-Wish team brought a beautiful gift basket packed with toys for Hadlie to enjoy in her new hot tub. Handmade posters, wish wands, balloons and pom-poms rounded out the celebration.

“This family is just phenomenal,” said Keli Wilson, a local volunteer wish granter.

Four members of the Sparks Fire Department attended with a brand-new fire truck and hose to pump water into the hot tub after The Spa and Sauna Co. crew delivered it.

KOLO 8 News also attended to feature the donation. The news channel also partners with Make-A-Wish and they originally contacted The Spa and Sauna Co. to inquire about a partnership with Make-A-Wish.

KOLO visited the showroom the day before the donation to meet with the team.

About Make-A-Wish

The local branch of Make-A-Wish has been around for 40 years and recently granted their 10,000 Wish, although the number of wishes granted each year varies, according to Jenna McDowell, a Wish Coordinator.

Hadlie’s Hot Tub

A Hot Spring Limelight Beam was donated to Hadlie and her family. The Beam comfortably sits 4 people.

“When we heard that she likes taking baths and wanted a hot tub, we had to be a part of it,” said The Spa and Sauna Co. Sales Manager, Kevin Thompson.

This isn’t the first time The Spa and Sauna Co. has been able to partner with Make-A-Wish to donate a hot tub locally. A similar hot tub donation was made many years ago.
